Women's Network

‘Enterprising Women Dorset’ is a women only network for professional women in business or management positions which was launched in late 2007. The aims of establishing the group were to:

To provide a supportive environment for women to meet and network that is beneficial and fun
To facilitate personal support and development – a first port of call
To facilitate sharing of experience
To hear from role models
To identify equalities issues that are experienced by women in business
To sell
To share best practice

This new Business & Professional Womens Network Group, now re-named Enterprising Women Dorset, was launched during Open 4 Business fortnight last September at the prestigious Moonfleet Manor Hotel, Fleet, Weymouth Karenlee Knott, Chairman of Enterprising Women Dorset said “The ladies network has been established to enable working women to network effectively as a professional group whilst using the time efficiently to discuss and share business issues which are of particular interest to women. The group will aim to meet 6 times a year and share a monthly newsletter whilst signing up to business directory for maximising business to business opportunities.”

We currently (August 08) have 60 members and over 100 women have attended the events run to date. Membership is £25 to join, and from January 2009 there will be a £15 annual membership fee. We meet at various locations every other month in the early evening, with a business element and a fun element !
